Il parcourt le monde pour saisir l\u2019esprit de nos contemporains et raconter leurs histoires : notamment \u00e0 travers la campagne chinoise, pour suivre le travail de trois projectionnistes itin\u00e9rants (<strong>Porteurs d\u2019Ombres Electriques<\/strong>) ; en passant par la Casamance au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal pour filmer le c\u00e9r\u00e9monie d\u2019initiation \u00e0 travers le regard d\u2019un jeune Diola (<strong>Sikambano, les Fils du Bois Sacr\u00e9<\/strong>) ; aux \u00c9tats-Unis pour un road-movie familial pendant les Primaires d\u00e9mocrates (<strong>Obama plus pr\u00e8s du r\u00eave<\/strong>) ; au B\u00e9nin, pour suivre le parcours d\u2019une jeune fille de sept ans sur une p\u00e9riode de douze ans (<strong>Time for School<\/strong>), etc. Son travail a \u00e9t\u00e9 produit et diffus\u00e9 en France (notamment par <strong>Arte, Canal Plus, France 5<\/strong>) et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger (notamment <strong>PBS<\/strong>, \u00c9tats Unis, <strong>NHK<\/strong>, Japon). Il a aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 chef-op\u00e9rateur pour trois films de fiction, trois longs et deux courts. L\u2019un d\u2019eux, &#8220;<strong>Ayiti Mon Amour<\/strong>&#8220;, a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 dans la liste des Best Foreign Language Films pour les Oscars 2018. Son web documentaire interactif et installation immersive \u201c<strong>Life Underground<\/strong>&#8221; &#8211; \u201c<strong>Correspondances<\/strong>\u201d (laur\u00e9at de la bourse \u201c<strong>Brouillon d\u2019un r\u00eave<\/strong>\u201d) a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 au public au cours de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2018. Acclam\u00e9 par la critique, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 dans de nombreux des festivals internationaux et a re\u00e7u plusieurs r\u00e9compenses et une nomination en tant que Best Short Form Series aux <strong>IDA Awards <\/strong>(International Documentary Association \u2013 Los Angeles). Life Underground a fait l\u2019objet d\u2019expositions\/installations dans des espaces publics et mus\u00e9es : \u00e0 Union Station \u00e0 Los Angeles, au Festival South By Southwest \u00e0 Austin, Etats-Unis, au Festival DocEdge \u00e0 Auckland et Wellington en Nouvelle Z\u00e9lande, au Mus\u00e9e National de Singapour. He travels the world to capture the spirit of contemporary lives and to tell their stories: through rural China, following the work of three itinerant film projectionists (\u201c<strong>Electric Shadows<\/strong>\u201d); through Casamance in Senegal to film an initiation ceremony through the eyes of a young Diola (\u201c<strong>Sikambano, the Sons of the Sacred Woods<\/strong>\u201d); across the United States for a family road movie during the Democratic primaries (\u201c<strong>Obama, Closer to the Dream<\/strong>\u201d); and in Benin, documenting twelve years in the life of a seven-year-old girl (\u201c<strong>Time for School<\/strong>\u201d), among others.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-fa802d5324f3348bd2311bcea841e20c wp-block-paragraph\"><em>His films have been produced and broadcast in France (notably by <strong>Arte, Canal+, France 5<\/strong>) and abroad (including <strong>PBS<\/strong> in the United States). He has also served as cinematographer on three fiction features and two short films. One of them,&nbsp;<strong>Ayiti Mon Amour<\/strong>, was shortlisted in the Best Foreign Language Film category for the <strong>2018 Oscars<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-78e55acc2338f4216299d19a937aaec6 wp-block-paragraph\"><em>His interactive web documentary and immersive installation \u201c<strong>Life Underground<\/strong>&#8221; (recipient of the SCAM \u201cBrouillon d\u2019un r\u00eave\u201d grant) was released to the public in 2018. Critically acclaimed, it was selected in numerous international festivals, received several awards, and was nominated for Best Short Form Series at the IDA Awards (International Documentary Association, Los Angeles).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-4a6295f2bc1f88a0f2b7f067d3708e40 wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Life Underground<\/strong> has been exhibited in public spaces and museums worldwide: at Union Station in Los Angeles, at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin (USA), at the DocEdge Festival in Auckland and Wellington (New Zealand), and at the <strong>National Museum of Singapore<\/strong>.
